Is a thyroid nuclear scan considered to be a treatment?

The kind that I'm getting is just a scan to see if the nodule is hot or cold and online it says "you maybe asked to stay on the low iodine diet 2 days after the treatment" by treatment do they mean for those people receiving radioactive treatment or is it just a word they use for all procedures done with a nuclear scan...sorry if it's confusing I just can't take this diet anymore!!!
