How much money will I need to travel a significant part of Europe while studying abroad in Rome?

Really, it depends how much you plan on buying. You could go with as little as 500 or 600 and be perfectly fine, on the the other hand you could easily end up spend several thousand if you were so inclined. So, when planning on how much to take just think about how much you like to shop and also if plan on bringing back souvenirs for family or friends. If you like shopping then you should probably take about 1,000, maybe more.
