Is this implantation bleeding or a prelude to my period?

I feel a little stupid for asking this because I know people will just tell me to be patient and take a test in a few days but I guess just writing this out and have people respond will make me feel better. So here is the situation, my DH and I have been ttc for 4 months now, this is our last shot as he is going on the road and we wont see much of each for a while. anyway, my started to hurt 3 dpo and it hasn't stopped. I am currently 11 dpo and two nights ago I spotted a bit after going to the bathroom, just a bit in my cm when I whiped, then again the next morning. then nothing all day long or the next day, but tonight I had more blood after using the bathroom. Tonight the blood was red on the tp and then I checked my cervix and it was kind of brownish. I just want to know what other women have experienced and if implantation bleeding should last over a period of 3 days or not. I can read all the articles I kind find online but I prefer what real women have to say about it. Thanks a million.
